Aromatherapy, Indian Head Massage, Indian Face Massage, Hopi Ear Candling, Colour Therapy, Iridology and Holistic Dowsing! - Did you know that there are Practical Training Days available for these subjects. Sue will arrange 1 to 1 Workshops in any of the aforementioned subjects at times to suit the individual.

Subjects regularly covered include: Introduction to Counselling, Children under stress, Children's Nutrition, Massage Therapy for children, ADD/ADHD, ASD and related disorders. Training the intuition and dowsing. Meditation, Subtle Energy workshops and First Aid for Complementary Therapists (all SNHS subjects can be accommodated by arrangement)

Sue & Richard facilitate most of the workshops and training days, but also have a network of other therapists they can call on. This enables them to cater for most people's needs.  If they can’t do a subject that people want, they will find someone who can!

It is also possible for individual students to shadow a 'qualified therapist' for a day, and to practice under supervision. The student could perhaps have a treatment themselves, practice on clients under supervision, and possibly give the therapist a treatment too."

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

The Therapy Network is committed to continuing professional development, (CPD) and regularly holds seminars and workshops for their own members. These are also opened up to therapists outside the Network, and to students of complementary therapy, from colleges, or the online/ distance learning schools.

Dates: Workshops are held on Thursdays and Sundays. They are normally held from 9.15 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.

Venue: Workshops are held in comfortable venues in the Somerton/Ilchester area of Somerset. (All within easy access via A303). The organisers will be happy to provide a map of their location.

Cost: These cost around £50 per person for the day which includes a buffet lunch and refreshments.  Details of local bed and breakfast and pub accommodation can be provided on request at additional cost.

Detox the CPD way ~ CPD by Post

We are launching our first CPD course, by post, in January 2011. The theme is “Detox”.  This is aimed at complementary therapists, wanting to expand the scope of their practice, by supporting the detoxification goals of their clients. Whether clients want to lose weight, control an existing condition, or simply want to improve their health generally, this will prove to be an excellent tool for you!

The detoxification strategies within this CPD course, are regularly recommended to clients in 'our own practices'.  As therapists, our main aim is finding safe, achievable, and affordable ways of helping the client support their body’s own detoxification pathways. 

Whichever School of Natural Health Sciences course you have completed, or are studying, becoming more knowledgeable about detoxification can be a 'great value way' to compliment your practice.
