Many thanks to your Self Study Team for being at the end of a telephone, when needed, during my course in Crystal Healing course.  I have studied other therapies in the past and have diplomas in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head and Anatomy and Physiology.  With this course in Crystal Healing I could fit it in when ever I wanted.  I found all the course work interesting and informative.

It is a great feeling to have got an A grade in this subject.  I had some prior knowledge but not enough to work with.  This course has helped me to consolidate my prior knowledge and understand so much more about this subject.

I have been eagerly awaiting this email,  it has been nearly 20 years since I took an exam and to get a Grade A pass is just wonderful, your email has really made my day. I am also currently studying Hopi Ear Candling and Business & Marketing and I look forward to completing my courses.

 
I treated myself to a six foot tall canvas print of Sean Connery (big James Bond fan) and enjoyed a bottle of wine at the weekend.
 
Hopefully this email will encourage all those who think they cannot study for what ever reason!

Hello Mr. Fortescue!

I emigrated to Melbourne (as I am married to a Melbournian). I am applying to enrol on a Physiotherapy degree course and things are looking good with regards to my chances of getting on this course, despite my mature age and eclectic background (being an ex-professional ballet dancer). This is in part (and no small part either) to achieving my Anatomy & Physiology diploma with you.

 
I really loved my study at The School of Natural Health Sciences and loved being your student. I did not particularly excel at school and it was only later in life that I found a passion for learning in this area. I was delighted to receive a Grade A for your course and I really wanted to let you know that my study has given me the confidence and inspiration to go on to achieve more. I've got a few hurdles to overcome before I am at the offer stage, but thanks to your course and having liaised with the Physiotherapy faculty over here, I stand an excellent chance.

Dear Julia,

Thank you so much for your email saying that I had passed my Reflexology exam with a grade A.

I cannot tell you what this means to me!

I have actually been studying Reflexology for over 18 months. I initially trained with a Reflexology Associated training establishment, meaning I would be accredited on passing my exam.

This was going really well and after passing my mock exam and achieving 83% I was hopeful about my final exam. Unfortunately myself and my class mates failed due to our teacher not teaching us the full syllabus. He had been discredited the previous year and been advised not to teach any other students. He was actually teaching us from previous years papers so we were not aware of the entire syllabus!

How could we know? We did not actually find any of this out until after the exam results. Apparently the previous years students had suffered in the same way. This was a very traumatic time with a cost of almost £2000. This really deflated me and I lost my confidence.

After a couple of months and a lot of encouragement from my family I realised I should not give up something I feel very passionate about. So after deciding to take a new route I found your company and I am thrilled I did.

Anyway I just wanted to tell you how much your email meant to me.

Dear Julia

Thank you very much for sending on my Diploma for an "A" pass for my final examination in Life Coaching.  I am so delighted and so are all my friends!!  They can't wait to try it all out.

I have managed to join the ICF (International Coaching Federation) and the Institute of Leadership and Management also following on from getting the qualification with your School..

I have enjoyed this first course so much and am now embarking on your Advanced Life Coaching course and will probably do more in the future.

I am going to various Business Link courses in April and May and will be getting back to you in a few months when I am ready to launch myself properly and hope you might put me on your 'Graduates Success Stories page' then.  I tell everyone about the School, it really is fantastic, your staff have all been so helpful.

What fantastic news!  I haven't taken any studying up since leaving school and I was a little worried to say the least........Just the word 'exams' made me nervous!
 
So to be awarded a grade A for my Indian Head Massage course was out of this world!

I want to say thank you to your team.  I'm currently over half way through my 4th course with you which is Nutrition and am thoroughly enjoying it.  The other courses I did were Hypnotherapy, Kinesiology and Past Life Therapy and the first two have opened my mind as well as increased my client base.
 
A while ago I signed up for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Life Coaching but after reading the first few pages of each I realised I had chosen something I wouldn't be good at. 
 
On contacting the school, your staff were wonderfully helpful and allowed me, for a small fee, to change to Nutrition and Advanced Nutrition. They were so quick in their replies and sending the new course to me.
 
I just wanted to say I think what your School does is wonderful and your success is well deserved.

Thanks you for your email and I'd just like to tell you how much I've enjoyed both Flower Remedies courses.  I've already decided to continue studying and as well as the higher diploma in Flower Remedies, I've already started the Crystal Healing course and also have the Dowsing and Psychotherapy & Counselling courses lined up. 
 
For the last 5 years I keep returning to the thought that I will set up a holistic weight loss centre where people can deal with the reasons why they put on weight in the first place in a supportive healing atmosphere.  It's still early days, but I at last feel like I'm heading in the right direction.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to SNHS, to you and your staff.

I have just received my Aromatherapy certificate in the post as well as recently passing the Indian Head Massage course. I can’t believe I got A grades! I was never that good at school! 

I was made redundant in July from a boring office job and the courses have given me something to aim for in an area that I have been interested in for many years.

I hope to eventually set up my own business offering a mobile therapy service.

 Hi Julia,
 

Your reply to my request for assistance with my work as a therapist here on the Island of Menorca shows me just how good your school is, and how lucky I am to have found you when I did.

Taking my first course with you ( Indian Head Massage)  I realised how in depth the study went, but Aromatherapy goes even further than that. Even though I had done a massage course in the UK years ago and have massaged many people since,  I did not realise the full extent of what I was affecting under the muscles.

More Good news!

Today I have seen two 'new ladies' for Aromatherapy treatments, both have regular massage in the UK but this was their first Aromatherapy sessions which they loved.

I have started a data base on a number of ailments, which I do on a brochure format (folded in 3) their treatments were for on Muscle pain in back, neck & shoulders. I record clients background & brief details of muscle pain & problems, personal info. on what oils I am to use on them and why. Details on posture, breathing, things to avoid etc. Plus a page for their appointments.  It is brilliant, and they thought so too. If they ever need an updated copy of their treatment and case history, I have it ready.

My 2' clients were really impressed, pleased with the therapy, the room, music & the leaflet. They said my methods were very professional and it felt more personal. (I felt elated) they have many friends on the island, as you say 'word of mouth'.  I have already put my prices out a bit less than others, (something else they were pleased with) as the exchange rate is fluctuating against the Euro, I thought it was a good idea.

All the advice you have given is gratefully received and I will use all of it thank you.  I have started some advertising leaflets, toying with a name of 'Essentially Natures way'  and will incorporate some Special Offers

I would recommend your courses to anyone - as thorough and in-depth study with constant assessments and on-going back up.

A few days ago I received my Past Life Therapy Diploma through the post. It was a complete pleasure receiving it.  Just as it has been a wonderful pleasure doing the course with you.
 
This is my 2nd diploma with you. The 1st was a self study crystal healing course of which I obtained a B+ grade for.  And now you kindly gave me a Brilliant A grade in my Past Life Therapy. I am so pleased I can't tell you how happy I am.
 
These course's really have changed my life, I almost can't imagine not studying with SNHS!!
 
I am now starting to gather myself as a therapist and slowly I am starting to withdraw from my day job to take it on (at some point) full time. I have been lucky enough to meet new amazing people through having my new found knowledge and this is taking me forward on my path.
 
Well Again - Thank you for making this type of learning so easy and attainable for people like myself who have not got thousands in the bank!!
 
Rest assured I have already started my next course with you in Advanced Hypnotherapy and I will be looking forward to doing a Higher International Diploma also in the near future.

Dear Julia

I am writing to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed training in Hypnotherapy level one, Advanced Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling with the SNHS. I still have my final theory exam to do which I hope to complete this weekend.

This week I attended a days practical training with Tony Edwards.  Tony is a natural teacher and I count myself lucky to have found him.  The content was professionally delivered , well thought out and geared to give a student confidence.

When I arrived that morning I had no idea I was going to be a completely changed person by the end of the day.  I was to actually do a session of hypnosis on someone at the end of the afternoon and I found it a bit daunting.

As the day progressed I became more confident and competent, by the time I had to do the session, I felt more in command.   Tony taught me a technique that will carry me through in my new career.  I could not have done without him.

I will then give myself a month to ease into this new career, sorting out insurance etc, and doing a few hypnotherapy sessions to build up my confidence, then I can give an accurate account of my progress for the Graduates page on your website. Certainly I would not be in this happy position if I had not done the courses with such a professional organisation. I am fortunate that I found you.

Dear Julia

Thank you very much - such excitement here again! with the results of my Indian Head Massage course. Just the Reflexology to finish off now then and will then incorporate these subjects into my practice. 
I've been really busy this year as well as doing the three courses.

 
Although I have Anatomy & Physiology knowledge I found the Hopi Ear Candling course refreshed my knowledge of the structure of the ear and the course itself was very comprehensive. I did enjoy learning the face massage and have expanded on that in the Indian Head, which I love, as it involves energy work.
 
I find that during a treatment, my clients faces smooth out within a short time, and look quite different once the energy is working through them.This never ceases to amaze me and makes me smile. What a wonderful job!

My partner and I did a charity event for the local Sue Ryder Hospice a couple of weekends ago giving Reiki tasters, and whilst it's really good fun, being on your feet for nine hours can be tiring. I have no idea how I used to manage when I was at work and putting in twelve and thirteen hour days when we did events. Plus you have the equipment to lug about and put up - I always think packing everything up is the worst bit and then you have to unload when you get back. We bought a gazebo especially for the event as it was outdoors near the river and although we'd never put one up before -  we managed OK and everyone who came to see us said how lovely and peaceful it was and called it the chill out zone, even though there were bands playing in the background.

This time last year I had just taken early retirement from an incredibly stressful job as Marketing Executive and Publicity Officer for a large further and higher education college, and was doing Reiki in my spare time.
 
It is so nice to be able to focus entirely on what I love doing and which benefits others as well, and you and your colleagues are helping me in my professional development, a very important aspect of this type of work. Thank you all for your encouragement and kind comments.

I look forward to receiving my diploma - that's exciting when it drops through the letterbox.

I recently attended Meridian Psychotherapy and Past Life Therapy Workshops with Tony Edwards. I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience with Tony. Both
workshops were informative and well structured. I particularly enjoyed the Past Life Regression session as I was able to work with a volunteer and the
results were remarkable.

Tony is an excellent teacher not only in his field but he also has a well rounded knowledge, which he has obviously gained through experience and that

Hello Julia

I have just returned from a fantastic summer holiday and WOW!  What an excellent surprise to receive my Higher National Diploma in Nutrition - icing on the cake.

I found both the basic and advanced courses in nutrition hard going at times, juggling work, family and studies, but the hard work has paid off !!

All of the course material I received was well set out and easy to follow - thank you. 

I am interested in quite a number of your courses - kinesiology, iridology and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) to name but a few, and I will be enrolling shortly.  I just have to decide which ones.

Many many thanks to you and your Self Study team for helping me complete my Aromatherapy Special Course package which covered Basic, Advanced and Higher International Diploma.

It gives me an immense sense of satisfaction and fulfilment to hear my Higher International Diploma results. I am very happy that the School has liked my dissertation for this project and complimented my work as of  a high standard and original in nature.
 
I have no words to thank you and your Self Study team which is 'really dedicated' and your whole school which is doing wonderful work for the world of natural health.
 
In today's climate people are very busy and have little time to go for regular classroom method of teaching . Your school is a boon.

I wish I could  have found your site earlier.

Let me tell you that I had earlier done one small course on Aromatherapy with practicals and was already practising .But I was not satisfied as I was looking for a more detailed course in aromatherapy for quite some time and went to many sites. But the moment I saw your site I knew it - it is the one - I was looking for so long - perfect in everything including pricing and accreditation.

As for my approval for including my Higher International Diploma project in your reading room, I shall be too glad for it.

Hello Julia,

I received my Stress Management diploma of which I am still very proud, thank you!

Recently, I was asked to give a talk to a group of 11 people.  I wrote it and presented it in a relaxed manner without the use of flip charts and projectors.  The email I received after the talk thanked me for presenting what could be a 'heavy subject' in a "down to earth, non stuffy approach"

I wish to pass on my thanks to you.  I had never written a 'talk' before and never in my life
have I been the centre of attraction for 11 strangers.  With the confidence I built upon receiving my diploma, has opened a new life for me. 

 
I aim to go in to practice as a 'Relaxologist' using my Stress Management qualifications.

Thank you.  I received my Diploma in the post 2 days ago.

I really enjoyed the course, most of the course work was revision for me as I am a qualified nurse and have already covered most of the topics as part of my degree. 
 
Therefore I wanted the qualification so I can prove my knowledge when devising menus for the elderly residents in my care home.  
 
I have enrolled on the Reflexology and Acupressure courses, both are topics that I am interested in and I just want to gain more insight.

Dear Julia

 
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to write in experiences with the Reiki and NLP courses.
 
I heard about Reiki 12 years ago when I had a Subarachnoid Haemorrhage and a friend recommended it to help my headaches. At this time I could not find a practitioner and although I had not a lot of hope, I had another form of healing which to my surprise worked in only two sessions. I believe that we have the means within us to heal ourselves and now completing the course from SNHS in Reiki I am able to help others. I enjoyed the course and felt that it helped me as an individual to grow in many aspects. I learnt a very important lesson from the five precepts of Reiki and now I am able to stop and think of the phrase “Just for Today “.
 
I feel this has changed the way I probably would have reacted. As I was progressing through the course I found the meditation hard. I think we live in such a hectic whirlwind we often do not stop and think and relax. At the same time I have been completing another fascinating course with SNHS which is Neuro Linguistic Programming. The similarity of this course with Reiki is that as well as learning you can on completion use your skills, for self development and to create your own future. I found through NLP that I learnt primarily through auditory means so when I meditated I listened to monotonous Japanese gonging to focus my hearing.
 
This was amazing as I could now meditate more easily and then with help from Tony Edwards,  Course-writer and Workshop leader)  I learnt the Last Secret and attuned myself with his instructions.  I feel you must not think Reiki is something magical or mysterious. You should understand that you are just a receiver gaining the universal energy and transmitting it to help others.  I have found since my attunement that I can ask for guidance in Reiki and then something will happen to show me the way.
 
When I am healing with Reiki my instinct or the guidance as I scan takes me to the area where the client has a problem. I find the heat from my hands grow as I scan over the painful area. As Tony advised I use the Reiki to take my hands where they are needed and not just keeping to a strict pattern.
 
I found when I had attuned to the symbol Dai Ko Myo my abilities grew. As Tony had indicated in his lessons I experienced a very strong light coming into my crown like a flower opening its petals. I would recommend this course for self development, self treatment and to gain inner peace even if you do not practise healing on others.

I have noticed these days, we make telephone calls everyday to various offices, schools or banks, and  the person on the other end is always in a hurry to cut short the conversation, that too without providing the requisite service or information. 

But it is totally different with SNHS team. Whenever I call the School and who ever picks up the phone, I am  always greeted by a sweet voice.  So helpful are all the team members and staff of SNHS that it adds to the quality of their courses.

Dear Julia,

 
You are probably inundated with emails, but I just have to drop you a line to let you know that I am over the moon with my recent pass in the Reflexology course.
 
Because I live alone with my 10 year old daughter (on a limited budget!) I have never been able to attend an evening class at my local college due to having to find child care and the course fees.
 
Now that I have my Reflexology qualification I can get out there and do something for myself ... and, actually do something that I love doing.
 
I am going to be working partly as a mobile therapist and partly based at a therapy centre just around the corner from where I live. I put a small advert in my daughter's School Newsletter letting all the Mums know that I had qualified and was inundated with enquiries!
 
I'm looking forward to finishing the Indian Head Massage course next  :)

I have to confess to being apprehensive about doing a Self Study course, and one which I had very little knowledge at the start.

Then, Wow! Another grade A, I really can't believe it, I'm so pleased and somewhat speechless.
I have been really looking forward to doing my other course Professional Relaxation Therapy as I feel it would really blend well with the Crystal and Colour Therapy courses. and give a nice balance in my treatments.

Hello Julia

This is absolutely fantastic news, I am over the moon regarding the result of my final exam in Meridian Psychotherapy.  I enjoyed the course so much, and it was always exciting when my lessons arrived in my e-mailbox.

Hi Julia,

I just wanted to email you and say how much I enjoyed doing my first course with you in Nutrition and I wanted to say how helpful I find everyone at the School of Natural Health Sciences.

I rang last week as I wanted to take advantage of your May offer of 'buy one get one free' and the lady I spoke to was most helpful and explained to me the various ways I could benefit from this offer, which ultimately has now enabled me to take advantage of 'four courses' with yourselves, for the same price as the initial two. 

 
I found the foundation course in Nutrition very interesting and I am looking forward to doing these next four courses with yourselves.
