Hi there

 

I have found the School of Natural Health Sciences a great organisation to study with.  They are exceptionally helpful and respond to your queries quickly and effectively.  They are encouraging and their course work is clear, concise and very easy to follow.

 

I found the learning completely relevant to running a practise in New Zealand.  I have now been running my practise for over 7 years and having the backing of such a reputable educational establishment behind me (I completed 4 diplomas with them) gave me the confidence and courage I was lacking before.  It also allowed me to register with two other International bodies of holistic medicine – the International College of Holistic Medicine (ICHM) and the British Holistic Medical Association, (BHMA) which gives further credence to my practice.

 

I also have a friend who studied Life Coaching and other courses with the SNHS in the UK, who has now returned to New Zealand to practice. 

 

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending studying with the School of Natural Health Sciences.  I have and will continue to refer and encourage others to study through them.  I cannot speak highly enough of their tutors and support staff.  They were wonderful to deal with.

Hi Julia!

Thank you very much for letting me know such good news.(Indian Head Massage, final exam result).

 

I am thrilled with all the courses that I have studied with the school.  Now I am at the point of just having one more course to finish and my 2 Higher International Diploma Dissertations.   I have taken a lot of courses, 17 of them, well 16 completed and the 17th to still do!

I cannot believe how much I have achieved and accomplished, in just 14 months.  I will definitely be signing up for a few more courses as there are some more that I wish to take, however, I want to finish my dissertations first.

I appreciate how you have helped me by creating the customised course packages for me, which are very reasonably priced.  A few times I have contacted the office by telephone, and the staff were very professional and friendly to me.

I have referred a friend, and she is taking her first batch of courses with you, and is enjoying getting back into studying and doing something for herself.  I don't hesitate to refer people to the school and have recommended the School for Natural Health Sciences to a few people.

I love the flexibility, and that the only deadline that is imposed is when you have the final exam.  That needs to be sent back in within a few days of receiving it, which I find reasonable.

I did a lot of studies in the autumn, and then took a 'six month hiatus' from my studies.  I returned with gusto, and am now on the last leg of my first two programmes that I enrolled for.

I am looking forward to finishing my programmes, and then signing up for more courses.  I must say that the courses of study that you offer, are very addictive, and I just can't help myself, as you offer so many interesting subjects.  Your courses fit in well with my family life, and work life, and there are not many places that offer such a good service.

Thank you again for such a flexible approach, and for being so passionate about helping people with the reasonable 'price tags' that go with these courses.  I will definitely be in touch fairly soon, to arrange another programme of study.

Thanks also to you guys, for the amazing 'guidance and assistance' all the way through my course, and many thanks for your valued contribution in assisting me getting here...and I even get letters to display after my name, wow wee!! 

 

This only half says what really is bubbling inside me, about how delighted I am in having chosen to study through your school and with such great success. The course is truly amazing. Hello Julia

Thank you very much for the eagerly awaited news that I had passed my Final Exam in Aromatherapy.  To get a Grade A pass is just the icing on the cake! I cannot wait to see my Diploma Certificate. 

I had just completed an Evening Class of an Introductory Course to Aromatherapy at my local Motherwell College in December 2009, and wanted to learn more about Aromatherapy, as I had really enjoyed the class. Unfortunately, the diploma class was on a Tuesday when I was working, so I turned to the Internet to find a college I could go to, and SNHS popped up.

I read with interest all about the various courses on the website, and the Testimonial Pages were very encouraging. I must admit looking at the sample diploma was a spur to get me going, as I wanted to see my name on one!

Now that I have, it is a real confidence booster to be able to help people, and make their lives better.

I enjoyed the course very much, although working into the 'wee small hours' has been challenging at times. No one was driving me on but me. Once I had started the course, I was hooked, and wanted to learn more.

While I was completing my Case Studies, a small Treatment Room became available in a Ladies Gym not far from where I stay. I mentioned this to the lady I was giving a massage to, and she was keen that we work together. Given that she has years of experience in Holistic Medicine, this was an exciting prospect.

The only stumbling block was that I hadn't sat my Final Exam yet! No pressure then!

Fortunately I did pass, and the room became ours on 21 July. It has happened all so fast, but I look forward with my partner, to a successful future thanks to SNHS.

Thank you all, especially the self study team, for all your help and support.

I look forward to starting my next course - Colour Therapy - soon.

Many thanks for your email and my Grade A pass. I have thoroughly enjoyed this course.

 

I would like to say that given that there are so many distance learning courses on the Internet somehow I found your school and was immediately drawn to it. I then spent a few months on and off deciding whether or not to invest in myself and did a little more research until I was satisfied that my original gut feeling was correct. Needless to say it was. I was actually interested in a counseling course but when I looked at the offers I thought I would start with the easier, shorter and more familiar subject of relaxation to get me into the right frame of mind and understanding of the process before I started the more daunting counseling course. As it was a two for one offer it could not have been more perfect, as is the way of things when a path is lit up for you.   

 

I have really enjoyed learning again, I have enjoyed the freedom of response and submission to lesson essays and questions, it has suited my extremely demanding life as a single mother of two children, dog, running and developing my own business. I found the information of the course to be well presented and encompassing, I feel I have learnt much with a beautiful underlying tone that I feel flows through the whole course and quite probably through all your courses. Credit to you Julia and an amazing task to set up and run such a school, spiritually

aware, comprehensive, professionally delivered and executed. 

 

I have started the counseling and psychotherapy course with submissions of my first three lessons and feel I am going to enjoy this course even more than the last.

Thank you so much for awarding me the Higher International Diploma, in Past Life Therapy.  I have really enjoyed the course, and indeed, all the courses I have studied with your school over last two years, and no doubt will be enrolling on more of them in the near future.

May I take this opportunity to thank you for being my Tutor. I have appreciated your assessments of my work and also your encouragement as I worked my way through the course, it was good to know that I was progressing satisfactorily.

 

This is the first time I have had a Tutor with the SNHS and it has been a positive experience for me.

 

Whatever the outcome of my exam I have enjoyed this course immensely.  Both on a personal level and a wider level I am more acutely aware of stress and its impact, this has further enhanced my ability to notice both my own stress levels and also stress in others making it possible for me to compensate in both cases and alleviate stress where I can do so.

I am currently completing my revision of Meridian Psychotherapy now, and I should be ready for the final exam on it soon.

Hi Julia,

Just want to say that my diploma has arrived safely. I thoroughly enjoyed the Aromatherapy course and loved the freedom of being able to complete it without the necessity to 'hit a deadline'. Working full time in a stressful job and, therefore, not always wanting then to sit and study, was a bonus. I knew I had put a lot of effort and work into the Course and final exam, but was stunned that I achieved a Grade A.

 

I thought a Grade A pass may only have been achievable by those choosing the tutored option. Needless to say I am very pleased and, dare I say it, very proud of myself, as are my daughters, family and friends. I now look forward (though taking a week or two off from studying), to completing the advanced section of the course and further expanding my knowledge and confidence.

 

Thank you very much and I am looking forward to receiving an e.mail, in due course, informing me that I have passed the advanced course.

Hello Julia  

 

I set up my own home practice in 2007 after studying for a Level 3 Swedish Massage Diploma in 2006. I then undertook study in further complementary therapies in Indian Head Massage, Hopi Ear Candling and Reiki. 

 

Having a keen interest in aromatherapy oils for many many years, finally in 2008, I decided to embark on an aromatherapy diploma. However, as a full time mother, I could not dedicate studying part-time at a local college, nor afford the extortionate fees, so studying in the comfort of my own home within my own time constraints was very convenient. Stumbling upon The School of Natural Health Sciences website was certainly a blessing in disguise.

 

I opted for the self-study option which suited me down to the ground as I thrive on learning and was confident to study on my own.  I completed the aromatherapy diploma within 10 months. I really enjoyed the course and the tutors were friendly and helpful and always answered my queries in times of need. I will definitely be continuing my studies with the SNHS in courses such as the Advanced Aromatherapy, Crystal Therapy, and Colour Therapy which I can incorporate into my reiki healing work.

 

I currently offer Reiki training from my home in Grimsby in the Usui System of Natural Healing and I also pass long distant attunements in other reiki forms.

 

I just want to thank everyone from The School of Natural Health Sciences once again. I would definitely recommend distance learning to anybody keen to learn and make their dreams a reality.

Thank you so much for this result! I'm thrilled. I have been interested in, and read about, nutrition for many years.
I have had digestive problems and so wanted/needed to improve my diet/nutrition.

As a cardiac nurse for many years, I've always been interested in nutrition for cardiovascular health, both for myself and my patients. Once you see inside the artery of someone with cardiac disease, it makes you want to be super healthy!!

I have finally decided to change my career and become a full-time nutritional therapist. This result has boosted my confidence and will to carry on because, I have to confess, I've been having doubts whether I'm doing the right thing. Now I know I am!

I have been so impressed with the SNHS and its courses.  I have found the tutors to be absolutely wonderful and so encouraging, especially George!!  He is incredible and such a neat person!  I have now completed 4 diplomas with the SNHS (Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Holistic Massage and Indian Head Massage) and am definitely considering doing more courses as I feel continuing education is extremely important in this area.

Thank you, thank you so much! It’s been a struggle with all of the other commitments that we all have to contend with in our day to day lives, not to mention my travelling over the past couple of years.

So my thanks are not only for the support and encouragement I have received from all of you at SNHS, but ultimately, for you making it possible for those of us with unconventional and busy lives to achieve accreditation for our chosen career paths.

I still have a few more courses to complete but the results so far look really promising and have spurred me to continue with the other courses. Once again thank you.

Hello Julia,
 
Thank you so much for your email informing me of my grade in the final examination.  I am almost sorry to have finished the course I have so enjoyed doing it.
 
I was delighted to have managed a grade 'A'.  I have never been satisfied with less than top marks..... it's something that has remained with me ever since getting three grade 'A's at A level in 1978 (when grade 'A's were slightly more rare than they seem to be these days) and confess that, as I had had very positive marks from George throughout the entire Bach Flower course, I was hoping that I would 'pull off' a grade A for the final exam.  What a relief!  George will be amazed that I managed to stay under the word count.

I have thoroughly enjoyed studying with you and George has been most supportive and encouraging throughout.
I shall look forward to receiving my diploma.

Hi Julia,
 
First and foremost thank you for the wonderful and interesting courses I have been provided with.  Apart from heading towards a 'new career' I am learning so many new and interesting things.  Just waiting for my final Advanced Hypnotherapy/Psychotherapy exam to be marked. 

 

I would like to recommend that before anyone starts out in this field that a visit with Tony Edwards, his Workshop is worth every penny.  I had a great day, all my questions were answered and his professional, yet friendly advice was invaluable.

Hi George (Fortescue),

I wonder if you remember me getting in touch with you last year to let you know about my progress since studying with you?

Well, just to let you know that out of 2500 applicants I have been selected as one of only 43 students (in total) onto the prestigious Physiotherapy Degree course at Monash University here in Melbourne, Australia. I enrolled today and couldn't be more pleased.

 

Although I had lots of experience and qualfiications, the A&P Diploma course I did with the SNHS under your tutelege was significant as it showed the university that I had a) taken appropriate steps to be seriously considered at aged 39 years old by studying my diploma in 2008 and other 'follow-on' studies in 2009 and b) achieving great marks in both year's of study I showed that I still had the ability to perform well in academia.

 

I think SNHS provides a wonderful service for people like me who, later in life, get a 'once-missed' opportunity to reach their full potential.

 

Thanks for being the start of this journey....I've been working full-time throughout 2008/9 and in 3 weeks I will become a full-time student for 4 years, just shy of my 40th birthday.

I am thrilled to have passed as a qualified Hypnotherapist with the School of Natural Sciences that was so kindly bestowed by Julia Vaughan-Griffiths, the Principal of the Faculty. The Course itself is so cleverly written by top Hypnotherapists. Their breadth and depth of the training and intuitive thinking gives a new insight into the workings of the sub-conscious, and how to change habitual thinking, for cleaner living or freedom from a phobic response that the client may be suffering from. A hypnotherapist may help a whole gamut of sufferers. Perhaps you cannot go upstairs in a lift, or are afraid of spiders or your immune system needs a boost!.

After selling my hairdressing and beauty business in Bath 2 yrs ago, I moved to Turkey, with my husband and two children, to live the life I was dreaming about for so long. A slower pace of life, sunshine, quality time with my children and husband as our life in the UK was hectic.

 
My dream for many years was to open a yoga and holistic retreat here in Side Turkey. My own passion for yoga started 8 years ago and I knew, if only I could have more time,  it would be something I would want to practice more and more.

After moving to Turkey and wondering how I could get a step closer to my dream, I came across The School of Natural Health Sciences. I was so pleased to discover that I could study from my computer at home. I signed up straight away for the Yoga for beginners and Nutrition courses. The second that I received my course work I was hooked. The courses are amazing and the support given was great. I completed the courses and received Grade A results in both, I was thrilled. I now had a diploma in Yoga and Nutrition and this was the start of my holistic path. I then signed up for Advanced Nutrition course and received a Grade A result once again.
All the time I was studying I was searching for the perfect location for my retreat. While searching I signed up for 3 more courses, Hopi Ear Candling, Aromatherapy and Kinesiology all of which I knew I could use when I found my special place. And then everything came together, I found the perfect place called Lemas Gardens. It has private secluded gardens, a perfect covered area for yoga/meditation practice, a private pool and accommodation for 40 guests. As soon as I looked around I knew that

I could make it into the perfect place where all my dreams could come true.

Once I found the location I quickly set about building a website for my Retreat so I could put my name out there and share my special place with as many people as possible. I worked very hard on the website and am thrilled with the result.

We will open in May 2010 and will offer one or two weeks yoga/meditation courses. I have some very experienced yoga teachers teaching and I am so excited to be able to also offer my holistic services. Since qualifying I have been busy perfecting my skills to give my guests a totally relaxing experience, help them rejuvenate their mind, body and spirit. Recently I gave two clients, with weight issues, advice and new diet ideas and am achieving great results from both.

The School of Natural Health Sciences has helped me reach my dream offering such a fantastic array of holistic courses, and making it possible for me to study from my computer in Turkey. The help and support is great,  and on completion of my final courses I will be signing up for more.

 I would like to say I am thrilled to have received my diploma for Advanced Nutrition with a Grade A pass. It really sinks in when you see it written on the diploma.

 I have been studying with you from Turkey.   I have achieved a diploma in Yoga for Beginners, Nutrition and Advanced Nutrition. I am still studying Hopi Ear Candling, Aromatherapy and Kinesiology all which I enjoying very much.

Hello Shirley,

I found the school by searching on the internet for distance learning for holistic therapies.

   I wanted to study at home and in my search I found your school. I was impressed with the reasonable prices and the fact that once I successfully complete a course I am qualified to work as a therapist.

As there were no deadlines to work to I felt there would be very little pressure in completing the courses, which was good for me.

I was very skeptical, but after numerous emails between Pat (enquiries department) and myself and contacting one of your former graduates, I thought that this school is the best for me! I also looked at how many people across the world studied through the school.

I signed up for the Naturopathy package, which was created especially for me, and allowed me to study exactly what I wanted.  Once this was completed I found other courses I wanted to study.  The school was so accommodating and created a very good package for me, so I can gain more qualifications.

My future plans are to open a complementary therapy practice, and I am in the process of joining the ICHM.  My application is en-route as I type this message.  My website is not really up and running yet, I have just reserved my domain name and have yet to get my site built.  I have just put a short information paragraph on there. 

I will be providing Life Coaching in three ways, face to face, via email and via telephone.   Aromatherapy I will provide on a mobile basis and will be going to the client's home, so that they can have that extra relaxation and take their time facing the world again.  The Flower Remedies and Herbalism, I will also practise via distance or face to face consultations, and when I have my Psychotherapy and Counselling and Meridian Psychotherapy courses, I will practise face to face as the client really needs that sort of contact.  My NLP skills will be used to compliment what I do in Life Coaching and other areas of my practice.

Thank you very much for my results for my Dream Therapy course, I am over the moon! Infact I am totally gobsmacked, as this was the one course I was doubting myself on. I think I made the mistake of looking too deeply into the 'dream analysis' side of it at first.  All I can say is to anyone wanting to do the course is, don’t doubt yourself like I did.  Fortunately, my family had faith in my abilities and stood by me and there is help out there if you need it.

What a fantastic college this is, (thank you all very much) for all the time and effort you have put in with my studies, and all the patience you have had with me.

Thank you for all your help with my enquiries, I have just enrolled online for the 'October Special package'.

I was particularly helped by the 'sample pages' you sent of the different courses. This gave me a 'flavour' for the ones I thought would best suit me at this time.

I was also helped by your comments regarding the therapist qualifications provided by your courses. I understand what you mean about needing to work outside a formal framework and about the importance of what the student brings to the individual therapies.

I have just recently passed my diploma in Herbalism, I wanted to say how much I've enjoyed studying with you. I have four children under 13, and have wanted to study herbalism for years, but because of my home commitments have been unable to take time out to do part or full time courses. For me studying at home has been my only option, I am very grateful I stumbled upon your website, and after looking at others found yours to be one of the best priced courses around.
