My interest in healing began as a young child, although I didn't know it at the time. I was about 7 when that began. My favourite times were walking alone in flowers, gardens, and woods. Somehow, I always "knew" what was a healing plant. As I grew up, life got in my way – school, college, marriage, raising a family, and work. I always continued taking courses whenever I could fit them in. These related to receiving my university degrees.
Now that my husband and I have retired to Spain, from Michigan, USA, I had the time, but nowhere to study. I "suddenly" came across SNHS on the internet, and read the course descriptions with enthusiasm. We talked it over, and decided that I would take all of them, with an exception of a few. It was finally my time. My new life began.
With the completion of the course in Aromatherapy, I had the confidence to open a small home business, giving healing massages. People were so pleased they began to tell others. Their favourite saying is – "Walk In, Float Out". I feel gratified and happy to know that I am able to assist in changing the quality of lives of others – all thanks to SNHS I am coordinating Flower Essences, Crystal Healing, and Colour Therapy into the counselling with my clients.
I am also a Reiki Master, and incorporate this with the massage. I continue to study courses on energy healing, as it is something I can take with me – my hands – and use it in whatever circumstance I find myself.
I have begun to hold a series of healing seminars, and have been encouraged by all those who know me. Without The School of Natural Health Sciences, I would not have been able to realize my dream, much less use it to help others in all matters of health. Thank you, Julia and the instructors!
