Sue Pash began her studies with the School in 2004. Sue Says:

...

Like many practitioners I became involved with holistic health because of my own and my family's health issues. In particular one of my children had hyperactivity problems, another developed symptoms on the autistic spectrum. Because of this I have studied nutrition and health on and off for 20 years (my eldest child is now 22).

...

Several years ago I started training in Radionics, which apart from non-local healing, also includes dowsing, meditation, altered states of consciousness and the many forms of vibrational healing including flower essences, homeopathy, colour, gems and pattern. Nutrition was also studied, particularly its effects on the human energy field. Conventional medicine and anatomy and physiology were compared with systems such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Ayurvedic system and the "subtle anatomy" model.

...

Whilst waiting for my examination and case studies to be marked, I began giving talks to groups about subtle energy and holistic health and found that I enjoyed it.  I have continued to develop this into workshops including dowsing and meditation. When my qualification came through I was then able to obtain professional indemnity insurance, and start work as a subtle energy and Radionics practitioner.

...

In my role as a school governor, I attended several continued professional development seminars on ADD/ADHD and autistic spectrum disorders and found that, with the addition of my own training background, that there was a lot I wished I had known when I had been trying to help my own family.

...

In true synchronicity I was talking to an ex-tutor, friend and fellow therapist about this, and it happened that he had also recently undergone additional training in the bio-resonance treatment of ADD/ADHD and ASD. We compared notes and found that with his teaching background, my workshop experience and our combined training, we could develop a workshop for parents and carers that incorporated a wide range of information on the different aspects of both conventional and complementary treatments.

...

Our initial workshop was very successful, with interest in other related events such as workshops on nutrition for these conditions. However I found that my qualification in Radionics was too unconventional when dealing with parents, doctors and other more conventionally trained health practitioners. Many people have not heard of Radionics but to those who have, the term usually only implies distant healing. It does not accurately explain the wide range of vibrational therapies that practitioners may be trained in. It meant that I was relying on my colleague's qualifications to give our workshops professional credibility.

...

To balance our qualifications for the workshop content I particularly needed diplomas in Nutrition and Colour Therapy, which I have completed with The School of Natural Health Sciences (SNHS). I have also completed Iridology, which has nicely rounded off two practical training courses done ten years ago. My intention is to complete other courses with SNHS, partly to extend the scope of our workshops, but mainly because I so enjoy doing them!

Aug. 2006 UPDATE - Sue Pash Moves to bigger premises:

...

I originally took on the lease of a small therapy room and set up a network of therapists with different disciplines, sharing clients, room expenses and exchanging ideas. This has been so successful that I now need to move to larger premises here in Somerset.

...

We will have a weekly group Pain Clinic where people can pop in for advice and information and low cost treatments. Group Light Therapy sessions for clients to try out treatments, support for those giving up smoking, and a Parent Support Group for children with ADD/ADHD/autistic spectrum or related disorders are also planned. The premises will be used for Reflexology, Massage, Hypnotherapy and Counselling treatments.

...

My studies with the School of Natural Health Sciences have been invaluable in providing me with ongoing flexible, affordable training in Holistic Therapy. I have been able to extend my client base, whilst also giving me the confidence to network with other therapists. Please visit my website: www.thetherapistnetwork.com
