My journey all started with my great aunt dying very suddenly. Something inside me was making me very restless but I didn’t know why. It made me question things that I had let ride for so many years. The most significant was my marriage and the fact that I wasn’t happy with my personal life. Somehow I found the strength to change direction and my outlook on things and ended my marriage of 12 years. It was very traumatic and upsetting for everyone but from that I grew as a person.

One day, for reasons I still cannot explain, I was drawn into a book shop and found a book on crystals which I promptly purchased and from there my journey started.

My need for crystals grew and so did my passion for owning them. I look back on my childhood and realise now that this passion was always there. When taken to the seaside I would always pick up treasures of polished stones from the beaches and take them home to cherish. I had simply forgotten over time.

The turning point came when I went shopping with my mother one day. I set out with a burning desire to find a crystal shop and lose myself in its shiny depths! I couldn’t find a shop anywhere. In the end I asked in one shop whether they knew of anywhere that sold them. Strangely enough just opposite was a ‘Mind, Body & Spirit’ fair that was being held in the church and it was here I met my crystal healing ‘mentor’. I have given up trying to explain coincidences as nowadays there are too many. What were the odds of finding this fair if I wasn’t meant to be there ?

I learnt a lot from the workshops my ‘mentor’ held and knew I wanted to become a crystal healer, eventually to have my own practise. Unfortunately she did not do the qualifications side of things which I would have needed to obtain insurance so I enrolled in the School of Natural Heath & Science to bridge that gap. I finally qualified and was really chuffed when I received my diploma.

I set up my practise last year and whilst things are still taking their time to build up I am quietly confident. I try to be patient.

I have just recently used my experience to produce GEMSTONE OILS and have now set up a website that provides information on these along with the crystal healing that I offer.

These gemstone oils are charged with the healing properties of crystals that can then be put into the bath or rubbed directly on the skin. I currently have 4 main gemstone oils :

Recent trials undertaken showed that people felt more relaxed, less stressed, were able to cope with life better and it also helped most with a restful nights sleep. I also am able to personalise oils for people who need help with symptoms that are more specific to them such as arthritis, pain, depression, lethargy etc. Again, information on this can be obtained from the website.

In the near future I hope to expand these products to include hand and foot creams and room cleansers for use in oil evaporators.

During my journey I have met many wonderful people also working within the complementary therapy field who actually care about others and will go out of their way to help where they can. I feel blessed that I have been guided down this road. For anyone interested in following me into complementary therapy I can honestly say that it has been a life changing experience.
