My name is Maria Swales. I have always had an interest in massage but more so since I attended Yorkshire Coast College where I qualified in City and Guilds NVQ level 2 Beauty Therapy and level 3 NVQ units where I excelled in body massage and Aromatherapy along with my full time course I qualified in Indian Head Massage.

Since then I found the School of Natural Health Sciences courses, by means of an online internet search. I was so relieved to find I could go at my own pace. I completed my Advanced Aromatherapy Diploma with the School, which enabled me to work in a local hospice for terminally ill patients.  This was a very good and rewarding experience.

After this qualification I started to freelance, and built up my own business named "Completely Pure" www.completelypure.co.uk selling 'pure blended' products such as bath and shower preparations, hair care, and products for specialised problems such as head lice in schools. All made from pure ingredients. This venture is still in its early stages but I'm sure it will succeed in time.

Having recently completed Nutrition with SNHS, I intend to advance and provide Nutritional advice alongside my work as an Aromatherapist.  I have been offered a therapy room at my local leisure centre here in Whitby, North Yorkshire and am very excited and look forward to advancing the remedies I offer.  In addition I am aiming to buy a detox spa and combine all my treatments.
