| The psyche has always fascinated me and I knew at an early age that there is a lot more to us than we realize. I have met many people during my quest for knowledge and I have listened to many opinions and encountered some wild and wonderful ways of expressing. | After graduating with a diploma in Indian Head Massage from SNHS I felt confident enough to apply for work at a local Holistic Health Centre. Though they were familiar with many other kinds of massage, this therapy was not heard of and was not being practised in our area at that time. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| It just so happened that the centre was planning their yearly Spring Festival, which attracts many people from all over Canada, America and Europe. The manager asked me if I would be interested in offering Indian Head Massage on a voluntary basis to see how much interest it would or would not generate. I accepted the invitation with enthusiasm (and a little apprehension), after all, I had graduated from SNHS but I wasn’t exactly bubbling over with experience! Nevertheless, I was feeling quite confident and felt that the course had given me enough good, solid information to put it into practise. I did write down the steps so that I wouldn’t forget the procedure but this was more for my own reassurance than anything else. However, I soon realized after the first few attempts that the massage seemed to flow, easily and steadily with no encumbrances. I worked for the whole weekend and can honestly say that Eastern Head Massage was a huge success and the manager was given a lot of wonderful and positive feedback. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This encouraged me to take more courses with SNHS, including, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Crystal Healing, Acupressure and Sports Psychology. I also plan to invest my time and effort in other SNHS courses in the future. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I now have my own successful home based business as well as a web site (see below). This came with work and effort on my part, as well as a belief in myself! SNHS can give us the diploma as well as the knowledge but we have to find the confidence and self-esteem within ourselves to actually go out there and do it! We are all capable of achieving whatever we put our minds to; but good sound education and advice are useful tools in our endeavour to tap into and "stir up" what we already know! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Long before getting involved in Complementary Therapies I had had an avid interest in Universal Sciences, which is how I personally describe phenomenon such as channelling, spiritual healing and vibrational medicine or anything described as paranormal for that matter. I have been fascinated by these ideas since being a child. I can remember being approximately nine years old and standing in front of my grandmother's bathroom mirror and staring at myself intensely, absolutely intrigued with myself! I recall thinking in my innocent young way, "who/what am I”? I am a thing called Kay!" The sensation and wonder I felt inside myself is hard to put into words. In an attempt I would describe it as sheer marvel, awe, bliss, joy and excitement. My stomach seemed to knot into millions of sparks of excitement and send them hurtling through my whole body. It was a marvellous sensation and one that I have experienced many times since and still do. I have realized since that experiences such as these are brought about when we connect with our inner core or essence. Many describe such experiences as being "present in the moment" or being "in tune" with oneself. In layman's terms I would describe it as being aware of ones spirit--the life force--the energy that turns thought into matter--the driving force behind everything. Life is undeniably fantastic when we realize our own magic and there is a gazillion ways to do this especially when you learn how to tap into the inner force (I call it the Gforce) that is you.
