I discovered SNHS on the internet! It must have been fate. I was feeling very drawn to crystals. I'd bought a few, and wanted to find out more, and this fitted the bill, not too expensive, I could study in my own time and I was absolutely engrossed in my lessons.
My story all started when I had a 'wake up call' during an abusive marriage and decided that life was for living and not enduring. I got out and spent 2 years on my own, savouring freedom for the first time.
My spiritual turning point was when my hairdresser friend came to do my hair. I was still very stressed, suffering from a balance problem due to an ear infection, I was drinking heavily at the time, and was at a very low point. I hadn't said anything to her but she gave me a message - stop drinking otherwise spirit can't help you. I was intrigued!
She revealed that she was a member of a spiritual church and asked me if I'd like to go and try some spiritual and crystal healing. My initial reaction was 'why not', so I did. I attended now and again, when I felt I needed it most. Suddenly things changed. I wanted to do this myself. I started wondering if I had the ability, and thought well, if I do, then perhaps someone will let me know. In the space of 5 days, I was told I had the ability - one from someone I didn't know from Adam! That was it, I wanted to learn as much as possible.
I now have crystals in my house, and use them regularly whilst meditating.
I flew through my SNHS Crystal Healing diploma course and I am currently studying Colour Therapy. I also have Indian Head Massage and Aromatherapy courses lined up and would like to do Herbalism next. I am a Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, a Spiritual Healer (recently qualified) and also a Crystal Reiki Master. I'm also a member of a circle and heavily committed to learning more from spirit and want to be able to help others in the way spirit has helped me. I have set up a practise in my own home and its very rewarding when people say they feel much better after treatment.
I got married In Sept 2007 and in August 2008 I had a baby! He loves my treatment room and is fascinated with crystals – he’s now walking, he can reach my shelves and so my crystals have had to be moved up out of the way.
