Hello
My incidental finding of SNHS web-site during routine web-surfing persuaded me to learn Complementary Therapies of my interest more systematically. One by one, during 2004-2006, I completed eight SNHS diploma course at different levels . The excellent course material taught me quite a lot and made me much more confident of using alternative therapies rather systematically through an eclectically-integrated approach. Presently, I am studying other therapies at SNHS with an intention to add them into my domain of Holistic-Cardiology.
In spite of tremendous advancement in the medical technology (diagnostic and therapeutic) the cardiovascular ailments continue to hold a large percentage of morbidity and mortality. A significant proportion of this is because of "Organic/ Medical-Model approach" rather than "Mind-Body-Soul approach" for the disease-prevention and therapeutic-paradigms in Clinical Cardiology.
My main interest in the field of Alternative Therapies is the 'holistic body-mind-soul approach' for maintenance and restitution (post-episode as well as post-interventional) of Cardiovascular Health.
As a part of Holistic Management of cardiovascular diseases, I use a balanced and coordinated mix of Modern Medicine (high-tech diagnostics and therapeutic-interventions) and Alternative/ Complimentary Therapies (mainly involving Yoga based Mind-Body Integrated (Emotional Kinesthetic) Psychotherapy; Exercise-Therapy, Acupressure/ Acu-Yoga, Hypno-Meditation; Relaxation Therapy; Stress Management; Diet Therapy; Chromo-Helio Therapy; Spiritual and Philosophical Counselling). I do make use of Colour, Aroma, Visualisation, Affirmation, Focusing and Kinestetics for therapeutic modulations of 'Marma'/ Acupoints, 'Chakra', 'Aura', 'Meridians' and 'Prana' systems, which may potentially be deranged in case of cardiovascular ailments.
Cheers
