Who is the odd one out, Brian Tracy, Dane Spotts, Paul
Scheele, Tony Robbins or you? Some may say they are all odd but in most cases the answer is 'YOU'. Why? Well the others have more belief in your abilities than you do. In fact they make a living knowing most people don't have sufficient confidence in their own abilities.

As a student of The School of Natural Health Sciences, I have found
distance learning to be a great way to study. Working from the comfort of
my own home, working at my own pace, I study what I want, when I want.
Imaging trying to do that in an attendance class!
Yet I have talked to and read (in the forum) so many times, how students like myself, doubt their abilities. The following questions occur repeatedly:
1) Will I being able to do a course with the school?
2) Will I be able to pass the exam?
3) Will I be able to take up the challenge of making a career as a therapist, with my new found skills?
Each area has it's own problems and solutions, but what they all have in common is the element of 'self doubt'.
The question is "why?". You have taken the decision to do the course, so really deep down you know you can do it. The problem then is consciously to
admit this to yourself. Positive Visualisation will help, see the frame of yourself working as a
successful therapist, and keep this image in your mind! You then have the ability to make it
happen.
Let's look at (1). "Can I do the course?". The answer is of course you can. If not, why would you be
considering it at all? You have the interest. You went to the trouble of investigating the possibilities, you found the course at the price you like, and now you have doubts? Perhaps it's friends or relatives being "dream busters". Well give them plenty of room as you pass them by.
Have the confidence in yourself you had in doing all the research. "Can I do it?". Change the question to,
"When can I start doing it?". Make the time, set it aside, keep studying and get those papers in. Believe me I've found that once that's done the school will take care of the rest. Which brings me to ….
(2). "Can I pass the exam?". Well if you do the work the answer is yes. The pass rate set by the school is obtainable if you do the work. The course work is in plain and simple language and I can attest that I have never found, whether it be in formal or distance learning, anywhere else where I can lift the phone and speak to a REAL person to get the help I need. No trick questions, no smoke and mirrors, just plain simple testing of the knowledge gained throughout the coursework. But, I hear you say
"it's ******* distance learning". So what? Most of us were on
another planet or in another time zone when we we supposed to be in the classroom, and hey we made it!!!!!
Distance Learning has given me the convenience of being able to do things at my
own pace, in the comfort of my own home and still be able to get first class quality
instruction. Hey what a bonus!!
And so to (3) Which is probably where the biggest problem lies.
"I've done the work, I've passed the exam but can I really do
it?". Well why not? You've just given all the reasons why you can do it. You
did the work so you have gained the knowledge. You PASSED the exams and the school has told you that you can do it. You even have your 'Accredited Diploma' to prove what you have achieved, so where's the problem?
Ah! 'experience', I hear you say. Well, my daughter just got a bike for her birthday. She really wanted that bike, she pestered me until she got the bike. One problem - she couldn't ride it. Well guess what? She tried each day and in no time she was riding like an expert. No, it wasn't the day she got it although she would have liked it and was frustrated she couldn't, but she practiced and practiced and…..voila!
So if you have any problems or doubts, I believe that the answers lie within yourself. You have the ability and you will certainly get
first class instruction and all the help you need from the school.
I have found that the level of instruction is challenging without being
daunting and discouraging. Don't get me wrong, you do have to work for your qualification, the School
doesn't just give it to you, but you will be given all the support you need to be successful. After all they do have a reputation to live up to and your success is a reflection on the quality and success of the school. Just take a look at the Testimonials Page on their website:
http://www.naturalhealthcourses.com/testimon.htm to see the number of successful and happy students, who have taken the time to write in with their
positive comments about the coursework and the service they have received.
So remember what I said at the beginning if all these other people have confidence in you,
you should have confidence in yourself.
I hope this has been of some help to all those with doubts and really I would like to see it open up discussion on the matter and lead to a
Support Group of those who have a little more confidence and can instill it in those who may be a little lacking.
All our experiences can help us to understand that Greatness, Ability and
Success, are lurking within, just waiting for the opportunity to get out.
Give yourself the chance and just see what great things you can
achieve!
