Many of us have heard of aloe vera, but do we know of its amazing healing properties? Thousands of years ago – in fact, the earliest references to it were discovered with an Egyptian mummy dating back to 1550 BC; also, Alexander the Great used aloe vera to restore the health of his troops and Cleopatra relied on it to help preserve her legendary beauty – aloe vera was being used as a natural health and beauty product, but it’s not been until relatively recent times that we have ‘rediscovered’ this wonderful plant commercially.
